AN INTRODUCTION

Introduction to Thai Yoga Massage will lay the foundation for the sacred dance that ignites healing from within.
Cultivating "metta" is the act of loving-kindness to all living beings. The art of compassionate touch with love, presence, and intention, sets a beautiful stage for true healing to occur from those with pain and suffering. 

This course sets the nature of Thai Yoga Massage by exploring Thai history, theory, and elements. We will also observe fundamentals that are beneficial for body mechanics and yoga elements of Thai massage. This course will demonstrate a full-body Thai massage treatment.
Everyone is welcome! Feed the soul with the curiosity of the exquisite aliveness within.

An Awakening

The self-care series is a 2/2 hour session.

LIVE & VIRTUAL 

The Intention is to share this journey with you to awaken the deeper self.  When we are in touch with our true nature, and cultivate love, caring loving feelings, we can actually provide ourselves with the nourishment we seek.   Many people have asked me about self-care programs? Often my response has been "it is in the principles that I share in each of my courses, such as: "being present", "setting intention", and "finding the balance".  It occurred to me there is a big need for us all to take time and consider what is "Self-Care to you"?  It may look different for each of our lives, but the principles are the same. We can cultivate the principles of these topics in our individual lives and create a flow of love that keeps circulating between you and everything you touch. 

Love- the universal medicine. 


Topics are:
1. Asking the BIG Questions- The journey to the Heart​

2. Pain & Suffering - You are not your ordinary mind

3. Food as Medicine- Being Thankful is nourishing

THAI MASSAGE FOR

LOW BACK

One of the main complaints from clients is related to lower back pain. This area is an important meeting point of different structures: musculoskeletal, visceral, nervous, facial, and energetic.

We will focus on the spine and mainly the lower back area in order to help improve quality of function and structure, in order to increase mobility, restore vitality and bring back ease of movement. We will use special dynamic and static techniques coming from Thai massage and Osteopathy principles.

THAI TECHNIQUES FOR

ABDOMINAL MASSAGE

During the practice of traditional Thai Massage, a very delicate touch is needed to manipulate the belly, allowing the detoxification. When we free the structures of the belly, we also free the function of our organs, helping them to play respectively their role. This course highlights your interest in belly work and describes the techniques that can help your clients. We will see that it is possible to influence specific conditions as "low back" condition and Sacrum/SI Joint pain, in order to set them free and to function properly.

THAI MASSAGE FOR

HEAD / NECK / SHOULDERS

In this course, we will observe the connection of the muscular, fascia, and structural parts of the Head, Neck, and Shoulders. The neck is an important pathway for the nervous system and blood circulation. Tension in this area creates numerous problems in our breathing and digestive systems.

In this course, we will focus on the rib cage, breathing techniques, mobilization of the joints & cerebral spinal fluid, and Integration of the spine.

THAI YOGA USING

YOUR FEET

In this course, you will learn an entire Thai yoga sequence utilizing your entire body. We will observe the various postures; supine, prone, and side-lying, as well as proper body mechanics. This is a great opportunity for massage therapists to earn their required CE’s, yoga instructors looking for safe assisted yoga stretching techniques, or for individuals and partners interested in learning techniques to relieve common pain and tension from the everyday stresses of life. This is a full-body sequence from the side-lying position. Great for pregnancy or for those who find it difficult to lie face down.

ON THE TABLE

This course incorporates Thai yoga and Osteothai techniques for practitioners working on the table. A bridge between Eastern and Western Modalities demonstrates the best of both worlds. This course will include a full body Thai yoga treatment, safe effective stretching techniques, body mechanics for practitioners.  We will also observe the fundamentals of yoga elements applied in Thai massage.

TRADITIONAL THAI STRETCHING

This course is for refining the beauty and benefits of Thai stretching, and for integrating the world of fascia throughout a Thai session. This course will be advanced study solely dedicated to Traditional Thai Stretching as a focus in all positions: supine, prone, side-lying and seated. This course will break down the micromovements and effects on the body during a stretch, and how to work with the breath during a stretch.  This course will continue to honor the beauty of Thai Massage bodywork and to refine one of the most known elements in the Thai tradition, “Stretching”.

THAI HERBAL COMPRESS

Thai Herbs are widely used in the tradition of Thai Massage.
Hot herbal compresses have a long history in Thailand. The compresses are often used to ease mental stress and relax the body. Today, in Thailand, herbal compresses are used in massage shops, spas, and among family members, using specialized recipes passed down through the generations.

This is a full one-day course "THAI Herbal Compress Techniques" which is an introduction to making herbal compresses and the benefits of use.
